Maciek Rek is a creative, multidisciplinary graphic designer and artworker with experience in both print and digital.
His work encompasses identity and websites, layout and user experience, performance and functionality.
Maciek’s approach to web design is unique in that it blurs the line between artwork and user interface, often utilising bespoke code snippets to execute design goals despite framework’s limitations.
Over the past few years Maciek has been responsible for marketing materials and creating websites for the ‘top small independent school’ Hampton Court House and the events venue in Greater London. Before that role he worked in an agency where he designed graphic identity, artwork, exhibitions and installations for promotional events and shows in ECE Group owned shopping centres across Europe. Since 2008 Maciek has been also working on freelance projects.
Maciek’s fusion of aesthetics and technical knowledge enables him to manage usability challenges without compromising on the appearance and deliver top quality product on time and within budget.
Maciek studied Spatial Planning at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, started his career as a graphic designer learning the craft in a small studio in his home town Wroclaw working on packaging and prints for internationally acclaimed game developer CD Projekt.
